JYOTI BALAVADIES

With the objective of empowering villages through child development, Jyoti has initiated the project 'Balavadi' in the villages of Punjab and Rajasthan. The Society supports government's Pre-school Education components of ICDS Programme. Balavadi Center - a village courtyard - is the main platform for delivering these services to the child up to six years, mainly from the underprivileged groups.

At present the society runs 15 Balvadies- four at Sikhwala, two at Ganganagar, two at Moga, two at Guruharsahai, two at Jaisalmeer, one each at Malout, Muktsar and Sikar, and nearly 1000 students get benefited from these balavadies every year. The Society has appointed qualified teachers in each center and created a unique educational curriculum that helps these kids to get better education in the future.
