With the objective of ensuring qualitative rehabilitation services to the leper patients, society has played a major role in establishing and monitoring leper home or Leprosariums in different parts of Rajasthan and Punjab. Society provides qualitative rehabilitation facilities to the patients. The leper colonies are located in Faridkot, Fazilka, Muktsar, Moga, and Malout. There are twenty to thirty leper patients in each leprosarium. Society also provides curative medical services and rehabilitation programmes. In this manner, society has taken care of more than 1000 patients and their families.
Society runs three Village Health Centers in Sikhwala, Bikaner and Danewala with the objective of ensuring qualitative and curative medical care to the poor village patients at an affordable price. These Village Health Centers provide medical care to the Leprosarium and conduct monthly health check-ups in Leper colonies. These centers also provide health check-up facility to the Village Development Centers of that village.
Society started a forty bedded hospital in 1987 at Muktsar, Punjab to coordinate the preventive, curative and palliative programmes of the society. This center is considered as a referral center from each Village Development Center and Village Health Centers. Hospital facilitates inpatient and outpatient services. The palliative care and physiotherapy projects of the society are based at this hospital. Free of charge healthcare is provided to a large number of poor patients in this hospital.
