Child Development programmes target the grass root level of the community through Balavadies. To ensure quality education at the primary stage, Jyoti has established 15 Balavadies in association with the Village Development Centres. To impart formal education to the weaker sections, Jyoti has established 3 Punjabi medium schools and two Hindi medium schools. In addition, Jyoti has established 6 non-formal education centers in villages with a view to bring back the drop out children. As an education promotion programme, Jyoti has established two Scholarship Programmes and School Kit Programmes. To motivate poor children to pursue professional education, the Jyoti has established Financial Aid Scheme. With the objective of creating moral and cultural values among the future citizens, Jyoti publishes the monthly children's magazine - My Little Master.

To rehabilitate the children of the leper patients, and the differently able, the Jyoti has established Foster Care Homes for both boys and girls.

Jyoti has established a three-tier system of health care: Medical camps in Village Development Centre's, Village Health Centers (Dispensaries), and a forty bedded Hospital to provide preventive, curative and Palliative Care to the people of Punjab and Rajasthan. The Village Health Centers organize medical camps to the patients of leper colonies. Palliative Care is a recently launched activity of Jyoti targeting the poor patients with a view to enhance the quality of their life especially in their final weeks and months. Hospice movement is in the offing as yet another initiative to take momentum soon.
